What We Can and Can't Protect

We believe in honest disclosure, not privacy theater.

What We Protect

  • Your personal phone number is not revealed to the person you call unless you explicitly choose to use a verified number as your caller ID.
  • We do not record, store, or listen to your calls.
  • Call billing records are stored for 60 days for billing purposes, then permanently deleted. We do not retain long-term call history.
  • We do not sell or monetize your data.
  • We accept cryptocurrency (via NOWPayments) for users who prefer not to share card details. We never store your own wallet address.
  • We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts. On public marketing pages (never inside your account or on the dialer) we run a minimal self-managed Matomo instance that counts pageviews without cookies and with truncated IPs. On the landing page it also counts an anonymous event when someone previews a price in the calculator (which country, mobile or landline) so we can see what people are interested in — there is no identifier and we do not build a profile. It does not follow you across the web. We also count two conversion moments — the signup completing and a top-up payment completing — so we can understand which marketing efforts reach real users.

What We Cannot Protect Against

  • The telephone network is unencrypted. Once your call leaves our infrastructure and enters the phone network, the audio travels over carrier infrastructure we do not control. We cannot offer end-to-end encryption on calls to regular phone numbers — no browser calling service can.
  • Call routing requires metadata. Our telecommunications infrastructure provider processes call metadata (destination number, call timing) to route and deliver your call. This is technically unavoidable.
  • The recipient knows they received a call. The person or business you call will have a record of receiving your call on their phone bill or caller ID.
  • Support tools are standard business services. Our support tools (email, live chat) are hosted by third-party providers. Support conversations are handled as standard business communications, not with the same privacy guarantees as the calling service itself.
  • Blockchain payments are public. If you pay with cryptocurrency, the transaction from your wallet is recorded on a public blockchain that anyone can inspect, and NOWPayments sees the wallet you pay from. If this matters to you, choose the wallet you pay from accordingly.

What We Store, and for How Long

Data Retention
Account email and credit balance While your account is active
Call billing records (destination, caller ID used, duration, cost) 60 days, then permanently and automatically deleted
Phone directory entries (phone numbers and nicknames) Until deleted by user or account deletion
Financial transaction records (top-up amounts and dates; for crypto top-ups also the coin, payment status, and NOWPayments deposit address — never your own wallet address) 7 years per Estonian tax law. These records do not include call details.
