1. Who We Are

PuchiDen (プチ電) is a browser-based international calling service. It is operated by Mirakuru Europa OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia. Mirakuru Europa OÜ is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

  • Data controller: Mirakuru Europa OÜ (registration number 14564077), Sepapaja 6, Tallinn 15551, Estonia.
  • General contact: [email protected]
  • Privacy and GDPR contact: [email protected]

Development and user support are provided to Mirakuru Europa by 株式会社Kafkai Giken (Kafkai Giken, Inc., Japan), which acts as a sub-processor under a written Data Processing Agreement with the controller.

2. At A Glance

If you only read one thing, read this:

  • We do not require your phone number. Registration is email-only.
  • We do not record, transcribe, or analyse your calls, unless requested explicitly by you.
  • We keep a record of each connected call (destination, caller ID you used, duration, cost) for billing purposes. After 60 days, these call records are permanently deleted.
  • For payments, we use Stripe (card) and NOWPayments (cryptocurrency). For security and anti-abuse, we use Cloudflare and Cloudflare Turnstile. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party analytics service. We run a minimal first-party, cookieless analytics instance on our public marketing pages to count visits. On the public landing page it also records an anonymous interaction event when a visitor previews a price in the pricing calculator (which destination country and mobile/landline was previewed) so we can gauge interest — this is aggregate only, with no identifier and no profile. We fire conversion goals on the signup-complete and purchase-complete pages — never inside your account area or on the dialer.
  • You can ask us at any time to export or delete your data. Write to [email protected].

3. The Data We Collect, Why, And How Long

The table below lists every category of personal data we hold about you, the purpose behind each, the lawful basis under Article 6 of the GDPR, and how long we keep it.

Public-page analytics Truncated IP (last 2 bytes masked), URL visited, referrer, UTM parameters, country derived from IP, user-agent string, and — on the landing page only — a pricing-calculator interaction event (queried destination country and mobile/landline toggle; no identifier) Aggregate marketing insight on public pages only (blog, pricing, FAQ, landing). Never fires inside the account area or on the dialer. Legitimate interest (6(1)(f)) Raw hit rows 90 days; aggregate dashboards indefinitely

Beyond country-level geolocation on public marketing pages (see the "Public-page analytics" row above), we do not collect your location. We do not build cross-site or behavioural profiles. We do not collect your phone number — registration requires only an email address.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

Delivering the service requires a small set of third parties. Each only receives the data it needs to perform its role. No third party receives your call audio in storage: audio is only processed in transit by the telecommunications infrastructure provider for the duration of a live call.

  • Telecommunications Infrastructure Provider routes your calls between the browser and the public phone network. It receives your IP address (from the WebRTC signalling), the destination phone number, the caller ID you chose to use, and your voice audio in transit. It does not receive your email, credit balance, or payment details.
  • Stripe processes your card payments. Stripe receives your email address, the card details you enter into Stripe's secure form (card details never transit PuchiDen servers), your billing profile if you provide one, and the payment amount.
  • NOWPayments processes your cryptocurrency payments, if you choose to pay with crypto. When you start a crypto top-up, we send NOWPayments the payment amount in EUR and an order reference containing your account identifier and the credit pack you chose. When you open the NOWPayments invoice page, NOWPayments receives your IP address and browser user-agent, and it sees the cryptocurrency you choose and the wallet you pay from on the blockchain. We store the resulting payment record, as listed in the section 3 table — we never store your own wallet address. NOWPayments does not receive your email address.
  • Email Delivery Provider sends the transactional emails we issue to you, such as login codes, registration welcomes, and account-change notifications. It receives your email address, the subject line, and the plain-text body of each message.
  • Cloudflare protects the site against denial-of-service attacks and abuse. It is the first network hop for every HTTP request to puchiden.app and receives your IP address, your request headers, and the URL you visit. It does not receive your call audio or call records.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile is a privacy-preserving human-verification challenge used on public forms (registration, login, free-trial call gates) to keep automated abuse off the service. It receives browser signals from the challenge widget and your IP address.
  • Google Workspace hosts our inbound mailboxes, including [email protected] and [email protected]. Any email you send to us is stored in Google Workspace and read by our support team. Please avoid including sensitive information in these emails unless it is necessary for your request.
  • Google Fonts serves the Latin-script web font used by the site (Inter). It receives your IP address and User-Agent when the font loads. Japanese text is rendered by the font already installed on your device, so no Japanese web font is fetched from Google. We are evaluating moving Inter to our own infrastructure; if we do, this section will be updated.
  • jsDelivr delivers a JavaScript library used by the dialer page. It receives your IP address and User-Agent when you open the dialer. We are evaluating moving the library to our own infrastructure; if we do, this section will be updated.
  • 株式会社Kafkai Giken (Japan) co-develop and supports the service on behalf of Mirakuru Europa under a Data Processing Agreement. Engineers at Kafkai Giken access production data only when authorised by the controller, for example during incident response. Kafkai Giken also operates the self-hosted Matomo analytics instance at analytics.kafkai.com that receives the public-page analytics and conversion data described in this policy.

For the full list of sub-processors, including any we do not name in public text for supplier-confidentiality reasons, contact us at [email protected] and we will provide it.

5. What We Do Not Do

PuchiDen is designed around the data we choose not to collect:

  • We do not record calls, transcribe calls, or run any form of voice analysis, unless explicitly requested by you.
  • We do not use advertising identifiers, cross-site tracking cookies, session-replay tools, or cross-site behavioural tracking.
  • We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any third-party commercial analytics service.
  • We do not sell, rent, or otherwise monetise your personal data.
  • We do not voluntarily share your data with law enforcement. Legal requests are reviewed under our law-enforcement procedure and answered only where they are properly addressed to the data controller in Estonia.

6. Cookies And Similar Technologies

We set a small number of strictly-necessary cookies that are required for the site to work. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality:

  • sessionid — keeps you logged in between requests. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Expires after 24 hours, or after 30 minutes of inactivity.
  • csrftoken — protects the forms on the site against cross-site request forgery. Expires after 1 year.
  • django_language — remembers whether you chose English or Japanese. Expires after 1 year.
  • cookie_consent — records your cookie preference so we do not ask again on every page. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Expires after 1 year.

A full disclosure of every cookie we set is always available at puchiden.app/legal/cookies-preference/.

We do not use advertising identifiers, cross-site trackers, session-replay tools, Google Analytics, or Facebook Pixel. We do not set any cookie that links your identity to external advertising networks.

If we ever introduce a non-essential cookie in the future, we will show you a clear consent choice and will not store any such cookie until you explicitly agree. There is no pre-ticked box — consent is always opt-in.

7. International Transfers

Some of our sub-processors are established outside the European Economic Area. Transfers are made under the following legal bases:

  • Japan (Kafkai Giken and our email delivery provider): the European Commission's adequacy decision 2019/419, which finds Japan's data protection framework essentially equivalent to the GDPR.
  • United States (Stripe, Cloudflare, Cloudflare Turnstile, Google Workspace, Google Fonts, jsDelivr, and the telecommunications infrastructure provider): the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, with Standard Contractual Clauses (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914) as an additional fallback.
  • NOWPayments (cryptocurrency payments): if you choose to pay with cryptocurrency, we send NOWPayments only the limited data described in section 4 above, because it is necessary to carry out the payment you requested. Anything you provide on NOWPayments' own payment page is collected by NOWPayments directly and governed by its privacy policy.

8. Your Rights Under The GDPR

As a data subject in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights in respect of personal data we hold about you:

  • Access — Article 15. Obtain confirmation of whether we process your data, and if so, a copy.
  • Rectification — Article 16. Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — Article 17. Ask us to delete your data. Financial records subject to the 7-year retention required by Estonian tax law are anonymised rather than deleted.
  • Restriction Of Processing — Article 18.
  • Data Portability — Article 20. Receive your data in a structured, commonly-used, machine-readable format.
  • Object — Article 21. Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw Consent — Article 7(3). Where our processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
  • Complain To A Supervisory Authority — Article 77. You can lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), our lead supervisory authority, at aki.ee. You can also complain to the supervisory authority of the EU member state where you live or work.

9. How To Exercise Your Rights

Contact [email protected] from the email address associated with your account. We may ask you to confirm control of that address before we act, to protect your data against unauthorised requests.

We respond within one month of receiving your request, in line with Article 12(3). If your request is complex we may extend this period by up to two additional months and will tell you so within the first month. Requests are free of charge, except where they are manifestly unfounded or excessive (Article 12(5)).

Today, data export and account deletion are carried out by our support team rather than through a self-service interface. We want to verify requests carefully, and the volumes are small enough to handle individually. We plan to add a self-service option in a future release.

10. Security

We take a defence-in-depth approach:

  • All traffic to the service is encrypted.
  • We do not store account passwords.
  • Card data is handled entirely by our card payment provider, and crypto payments are handled entirely by NOWPayments. Neither card numbers nor wallet keys ever transit our servers.
  • Each sub-processor is bound by a Data Processing Agreement that requires it to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures.
  • Access to production data is limited to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis.

11. Data Breach Notification

If a personal-data breach occurs we comply with Article 33 of the GDPR: we will notify the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, unless the breach is unlikely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms.

If the breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will also notify you directly and without undue delay, as required by Article 34.

If you believe you have observed a security incident involving PuchiDen, please contact us at [email protected].

12. The Limits Of What We Can Protect

There are privacy limits inherent to any service that bridges the web to the public phone network. We publish a separate Data Transparency document that describes these limits in detail — including why call audio cannot be end-to-end encrypted once it reaches the public phone network, why certain call metadata is unavoidable, and why the recipient of a call will always have some record of receiving it. Please read our Data Transparency document for more details.

13. Changes, Contact, And Effective Date

Changes. We will notify you by email of any material change to this policy before it takes effect. The effective date and version number at the top of this page always reflect the current version.
